About the Role
A Snapshot of Your Day
As Commercial Project Manager you will be responsible to manage and perform the financial tasks of projects including project performance and operational controlling and process optimization, simplification. In this role you will be working closely with all Project Managers, Sales, Supply chain and other commercial colleagues in Canada, varied in experience throughout their career.
You are involved in a variety of activities in supporting the financial planning and analysis, such as: budget and forecast planning, month- and year-end closing activities including all relevant project management requirements eg project cost controlling, project cost /price calculations
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Ensure the correct revenue recognition and accounting treatment of contracts, variations and change orders, ensure correct implementation of IFRS15 and the Siemens Energy FRG Financial reporting guidelines.
- Ensure accurate project cost controlling and forecasting for projects (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow, Risk and Opportunity reporting) Contribution to improvement of project controlling tools/ practices within team/business areas
- Ensure compliance to Siemens Energy Internal Control Systems. Participate Internal and External Audits and ensure project execution structures, continuous improvement of relevant processes, procedures and tools in line with project management processes and guidelines.
- Ensure completeness of monthly project review documents and participation to project review meetings. Ensure active project cost controlling and issuance of invoices based on project milestones and management of Accounts receivables.
- Ensure all vendors & customers onboarding processes are organized according to predetermined timelines and deliverable dates as per project needs.
- Review and follow up on month end tasks, forecast planning, month- and year-end closing activities, review unprocessed invoices and take necessary actions for month end closing
- Monitor foreign currency cash flows, booking of any FX related impacts to the respective cost collector. Prepare FX application forms and update foreign currency forecasting and hedge lists.
- Assist business managers with budget and forecast planning and/or any ad hoc tasks.
- Data reconciliation, processing, and input, including maintaining of spread sheets as required.
- Work within a team environment and support in the development of our tools and processes needed to work efficiently and effectively.
- Drive forward improvement activity, whilst collaborating with other departments and internal stakeholders.
What You Bring
- You will have high attention to detail and a proactive approach to your work, with the ability to multi-task.
- Sound knowledge of computer-based systems including Microsoft Office especially Excel is essential.
- Any ERP systems knowledge- in particular SAP- will be highly valued.
- Good ability to present and formulate clearly own ideas and proposals for improvements.
- Strong personal drive to lead and accelerate with smart perception of business needs of the company.
- You are a team player with excellent communication skills and a high level of personal commitment.
- Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Accounting or Economics/ Finance with at least 3-4 years of professional experience.

This job [is/may be] based in Ontario, Canada. Siemens Energy offers a variety of benefits including health and wellness, paid time off and holiday pay. The base salary range for this position is $84,000 - 120,000.
Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.

- Assurer un contrôle et des prévisions précis des coûts de projet pour les projets (compte de résultat, bilan et rapports sur les flux de trésorerie, les risques et les opportunités) Contribuer à l'amélioration des outils/pratiques de contrôle de projet au sein des équipes ou des secteurs d'affaires
- Assurez-vous de la conformité aux systèmes de contrôle interne Siemens Energy. Participer aux audits internes et externes
- Assurer les structures d'exécution des projets, l'amélioration continue des processus, procédures et outils pertinents conformément aux processus et lignes directrices de gestion de projet.
- Assurez-vous de l'exhaustivité des documents mensuels d'évaluation du projet et de la participation aux réunions d'évaluation du projet. Assurer un contrôle actif des coûts du projet et l'émission des factures basées sur les jalons du projet ainsi que la gestion des comptes clients.
- Assurez-vous que tous les processus d'intégration des fournisseurs et des clients sont organisés selon des échéanciers et des dates de livraison prédéterminés selon les besoins du projet.
- Revoir et faire le suivi des tâches de fin de mois, planifier les prévisions, les activités de clôture de fin de mois et d'année, examiner les factures non traitées et prendre les mesures nécessaires pour la clôture de fin de mois
- Surveiller les flux de trésorerie en devises étrangères et enregistrer tout impact lié aux devises sur le collecteur de coûts concerné. Préparez les formulaires de demande de devises et mettez à jour les prévisions de devises étrangères et les listes de couverture.
- Assister les gestionnaires d'entreprise dans la planification budgétaire et des prévisions et/ou toute tâche ponctuelle.
