European XFEL is an international non-profit company located in the Hamburg area in Germany. It operates a 3.4 km-long X-ray laser, which produces X-rays of unique quality for studies in physics, chemistry, the life sciences, materials research and other disciplines. Operation and maintenance of 2D imaging detectors Support and development of coherent diffraction imaging experiments on clusters, nano-particles and biomolecules Operation, maintenance and development of sample delivery sources for clusters and nanoparticles Active participation in the broad science program at the SQS instrument Development of individual research activities at the European XFEL Support and consultation to instrument users for their experimental campaign PhD in physics or an equivalent academic degree Motivation to participate in the operation of an experimental station enabling forefront research at Free Electron Lasers Substantial knowledge of data acquisition and data processing tools Good communication skills in English Become part of a vibrant international and multi-cultural team of scientists, engineers, technical and administrative staff.
