Sustainability Manager Berichterstattung Forschung (f/m/d)

European XFEL is an international non-profit company located in the Hamburg area in Germany. It operates a 3.4 km-long X-ray laser, which produces X-rays of unique quality for studies in physics, chemistry, the life sciences, materials research and other disciplines. For our Management Board Office Group we are looking for an Develop, in collaboration with stakeholders across the organization, European XFEL's first sustainability strategy by identifying priorities, benchmarking international best practices and recommending areas for future action. Establish and coordinate the sustainability reporting framework and prepare European XFEL's sustainability report. Coordinate the collection and analysis of sustainability-related data and monitor relevant sustainability legislation, reporting standards and best practices. Support the integration of sustainability into campus development, facility upgrades and operational activities by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. Coordinate sustainability initiatives across the organization, promote awareness and engagement, and represent European XFEL in national and international sustainability networks. Prepare reports, presentations and briefing material for management, committees and other stakeholders. Completed academic degree in Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or a related discipline. Experience in sustainability management, reporting or a comparable field. In-depth knowledge of sustainability reporting standards and frameworks; Sound Understanding of sustainability challenges relevant to research infrastructures or comparable scientific or technical organizations.
