In this role, you will play a key part in advancing business priorities by delivering high-impact work across your area of expertise.

Development of leading-edge technology to advance KLA’s metrology systems with a focus on light sources
Drive system characterization and error budget creation/analysis
Derive clear actions to improve module and system performance
Hands-on laboratory work to build, run and iterate complex optical setups
Support in‐house production and system integration; support customers and suppliers with technical feedback
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams (optics, mechanics, electronics) in an international environmen

Master’s degree (or PhD) in Physics / Optical Engineering or a comparable technical field recommended
3+ year’s of relevant experience in system development and experimental engineering
Background in plasma or laser physics is highly beneficial
Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB / Python)
Strong analytical and problem‐solving mindset; ability to turn complex data into decisions
Sense of urgency – strong desire for short time to result
Confident communication skills in English; comfortable working across cultures and disciplines
Occasional domestic and international travel, including to the United States, may be required as part of this role (approx. 10–15%)
EU work permit required
