You will lead multiple high‐performing engineering teams, foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, and help define the future of platform engineering. Working in a fully remote environment, you will partner closely with product, architecture, and operations leaders to deliver impactful solutions that balance immediate customer needs with long‐term strategic objectives.

Accountabilities

  • Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams responsible for building and maintaining the core platform that supports a growing portfolio of products and services.
  • Define and drive the technical roadmap, architecture strategy, and engineering best practices needed to support long‐term scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing modern engineering methodologies, development processes, and AI‐assisted software delivery practices.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent while coaching engineering managers and supporting leadership growth across the organization.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and drive accountability through measurable outcomes and team development initiatives.
  • Monitor engineering effectiveness, optimize team structures and workflows, and improve delivery velocity without compromising quality.
  • Partner closely with cross‐functional stakeholders, including product management, architecture, operations, and technical leadership teams to align priorities and execution.
  • Drive innovation across platform capabilities while balancing short‐term customer value with long‐term product evolution and technical sustainability.
  • Champion scalable delivery practices, site reliability principles, developer experience improvements, and operational excellence across engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of engineering leadership experience building and scaling modern SaaS products and technology platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Director‐level leadership role or higher, managing multiple engineering teams and leaders.
  • Proven expertise in platform engineering, distributed systems, scalable architectures, site reliability engineering, and developer productivity initiatives.
  • Experience leading large‐scale, high‐volume systems with a focus on performance, availability, and operational excellence.
  • Strong background in hiring, coaching, mentoring, and developing engineering managers and high‐performing technical organizations.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with product and architecture leaders to define and execute shared technical and business strategies.
  • Experience implementing modern software development practices, including AI‐powered engineering tools and workflow optimization.
  • Deep understanding of iterative product delivery, organizational design, engineering metrics, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of an organization.
  • Previous experience working successfully in fully remote or distributed engineering environments.
