Director IT & Data Management (m/w/d)
Strategic and operational leader responsible for the entire IT landscape of the company group. Shape the IT vision, drive digital transformation initiatives, and ensure a stable, secure, and efficient technology environment that supports business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the entire IT organisation and define the long‐term IT strategy in alignment with senior management.
- Plan and execute digitalisation and automation projects, including the replacement of the AS/400 platform with SAP S/4 HANA.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of servers, networks, cloud services, and end‐user devices.
- Develop and implement IT governance, security, and compliance frameworks, including GDPR and TISAX requirements.
- Conduct business‐process analysis, optimisation, and digitalisation across the organisation.
- Manage all IT projects with responsibility for resources, timelines, and budgets.
- Establish backup, monitoring, and disaster‐recovery concepts to ensure business continuity.
- Lead the IT security and risk management function.
- Recruit, develop, and motivate the IT team and manage external partners.
- Plan, control, and optimise the IT budget.
Qualifications
- Studium in Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik or equivalent degree.
- Proven experience in a senior IT role, preferably within the industrial sector (metals/polymers).
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, architecture, cloud technologies, and IT security.
- Experience with TISAX processes and implementation of information‐security management systems.
- Hands‐on expertise with SAP modules (Production, Materials Management, Controlling, Purchasing) and legacy systems such as AS/4F.
- Solid understanding of data protection and information‐security fundamentals.
- Demonstrated project‐management expertise (classical and agile) and change‐management skills.
- Leadership experience and ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Analytical, structured, and solution‐oriented approach with strong decision‐making capability.
- Excellent English skills and willingness to travel within Europe.
