Role Overview

We are seeking a strategic and customer-focused Director of Product Management to lead the Examination & Analysis domain across our digital forensics portfolio.

This role is responsible for defining and driving the vision, strategy, and execution for forensic examination and investigative analysis workflows across desktop, cloud, hybrid, and platform-enabled environments. While the Magnet Axiom, a Magnet Flagship Product, remains a core responsibility, the scope of this role extends beyond a single product and focuses on the broader workflow, capability, and platform ecosystem supporting digital investigations.

The ideal candidate brings strong product leadership experience, deep customer empathy, and the ability to align cross-functional teams around a shared strategic direction. This leader will help evolve the portfolio toward more connected workflows, shared capabilities, and scalable analysis experiences while partnering closely with centralized AI leadership to apply AI in ways that meaningfully improve examiner and investigator outcomes.

Reporting to the VP of Product Management, this role will lead a team of Product Managers and collaborate closely with Engineering, UX, GTM, Customer Success, and executive leadership to deliver impactful customer and business outcomes.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Vision & Domain Leadership
  • Define and execute the long-term vision and strategy for the Examination & Analysis domain.
  • Drive workflow and JTBD-oriented product strategy focused on investigator and examiner outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for shared capabilities, workflow integration, platform evolution, and portfolio convergence.
  • Balance near‐term customer needs with long‐term strategic and architectural direction.
  • Partner with centralized AI leadership to deliver impactful Agentic investigative capabilities.
Product Portfolio & Execution
  • Own roadmap strategy, prioritization, and lifecycle management for products and capabilities within the Examination & Analysis domain.
  • Utilize AI and Claude to drive lean Product Discovery, Experimentation and Analysis.
  • Drive execution in partnership with Engineering and UX to deliver high‐quality investigative workflows and customer experiences.
  • Establish and track success metrics tied to adoption, workflow efficiency, customer satisfaction, and business impact.
  • Support portfolio planning, investment prioritization, and cross‐functional initiative alignment.
Customer & Market Leadership
  • Engage directly with customers and investigative agencies to understand workflows, pain points, and emerging challenges.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive movements, and technology developments across digital forensics and investigative analysis.
  • Translate customer and market insights into differentiated product and workflow strategies.
Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead and develop a high‐performing team of Product Managers.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, innovation, and customer‐centric execution.
  • Partner cross‐functionally with Engineering, UX, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, AI leadership, and peer Product leaders to drive aligned execution across the portfolio.

What We’re Looking For

Indicators of Success

We’re looking for someone who checks off most, but not all, of the boxes listed in “skills and experiences”. It’s more important to us to find candidates who can display indicators of success through skills they have developed and experiences they have been a part of, rather than finding folks who have “been there, done that”. We want to be part of your development journey, and we’ll learn as much from you as you learn from us.

How We Work

At Magnet Forensics, we take a hybrid‐flexible approach to support your productivity and work‐life balance. Most days, you can choose what works best for you, while staying in tune with your team’s goals.
