General Manager - Autoimmunity & Infectious Disease
General Manager DACH | Autoimmunity & Infectious Diseases Diagnostics | Germany, Austria & Switzerland
A global leader in specialist In Vitro Diagnostics is seeking a General Manager to lead and grow its business across the DACH region, with a particular focus on Autoimmunity and Infectious Diseases.
This is a strategic leadership opportunity for an experienced diagnostics executive to take full ownership of the DACH organisation. Reporting to international leadership, you will be responsible for driving commercial growth, leading a high‐performing team and strengthening the company's position across hospitals, clinical laboratories, reference laboratories and distribution partners throughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Responsibilities
- Lead the DACH business with full P&L responsibility.
- Develop and execute the regional commercial strategy across the Autoimmunity and Infectious Diseases portfolio.
- Lead, coach and develop high‐performing commercial and support teams across the region.
- Build strategic relationships with hospital networks, laboratory groups, procurement organisations and key opinion leaders.
- Deliver sustainable revenue growth while increasing market share across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
- Identify new commercial opportunities, partnerships and routes to market.
- Collaborate closely with international leadership on business planning, forecasting and product launches.
- Ensure operational excellence and compliance across the DACH organisation.
- Create a high‐performance culture focused on accountability, customer success and commercial excellence.
Requirements
- Significant commercial leadership experience within the In Vitro Diagnostics industry.
- Strong knowledge of the Autoimmunity and/or Infectious Diseases diagnostics markets.
- Previous experience as a General Manager, Country Manager, Commercial Director, Business Unit Director or Regional Leader.
- Demonstrated success leading commercial organisations across multiple countries.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems, laboratory networks and procurement processes across the DACH region.
- Experience managing both direct sales organisations and distributor partnerships.
- Fluent English is essential. German is strongly preferred.
