As Head of Content & Editorial (m/f/d), you will shape how FreseniusKabi turns strategy into clear, compelling content that connects with global audiences and drives impact. In this influential communications leadership role, you will define the editorial direction, strengthen storytelling across internal and external channels, and ensure consistent, high‐quality messaging across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of content and communications professionals, providing clear direction, fostering collaboration and ensuring high editorial standards.
  • Define and drive an integrated content and storytelling approach that translates FreseniusKabi priorities into relevant, engaging and audience‐focused communication.
  • Set the editorial direction across internal and external communications and ensure consistency, quality and alignment of messages, formats and narratives.
  • Translate complex business topics into clear, credible and compelling narratives that strengthen reputation, support leadership visibility and inspire action.
  • Act as a member of the FreseniusKabi Communications leadership team and contribute to broader functional priorities, decision‐making and continuous improvement.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior leaders, business stakeholders, Group Communications and the wider communications community to strengthen alignment and collaboration.
  • Drive integrated planning processes and high‐impact communication programmes across audiences, channels and formats.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify communication processes, improve interfaces, reduce duplication and enhance overall effectiveness.
  • Provide strategic communications counsel and editorial guidance in a complex, international and highly matrixed environment.
  • Ensure responsible handling of sensitive topics and support effective communication in areas such as executive communications, employee communications, external communications, issues management, media relations and change communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in communications, ideally with international or global scope.
  • Significant experience in strategic communications, content and editorial leadership within a complex, international and highly matrixed environment.
  • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals or a closely related field is strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver integrated communication strategies across internal and external audiences, channels and formats.
  • Strong leadership experience, including leading teams, developing talent and driving results through collaboration, influence and sound judgement.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, consulting and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and advise senior leaders effectively.
  • Strong strategic and editorial judgement, with the ability to turn complex business topics into clear, credible and audience‐focused content.
  • High degree of initiative, resilience and adaptability, combined with the ability to prioritise effectively and balance strategic thinking with hands‐on delivery.
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written; German language skills are an advantage.
