Head of finance

We are recruiting on behalf of an international and fast-growing organization operating within a regulated and innovative financial environment.

As part of its continued growth, our client is looking for a Head of Finance to lead and manage the local finance function while working closely with international stakeholders.

Reporting to senior management, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and developing the Finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
• Overseeing end-to-end accounting operations (monthly and yearly closings, financial controls, procedures)
• Ensuring the accuracy and reliability of financial statements and reporting
• Managing Financial Planning & Analysis (budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis)
• Supervising treasury activities (cash management, bank relationships, reconciliations)
• Overseeing tax matters (direct and indirect taxation)
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborating closely with Compliance, Risk, and Operations teams
• Acting as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors
• Driving process improvements and automation within the finance function
• Contributing to international and cross-functional projects

Profile

• Degree in Finance / Accounting with a professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/finance, ideally within a regulated financial environment (banking, financial institutions, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg GAAP (IFRS/US GAAP is a plus)
• Proven experience in financial reporting, closing processes, and controls
• Strong understanding of international and multicultural environments
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems
• Strong leadership, analytical mindset, and ability to work autonomously
• Fluent English & Japanese – mandatory
