As Laboratory Solutions Manager, you will lead the team that keeps our laboratories running and ensures that laboratory technicians and apprentices can contribute effectively to project work across the organization. If you are motivated by people leadership, reliable execution and enabling excellent laboratory work every day, we would be excited to hear from you." – Dr. Konrad Gebauer, Senior Manager, Intermediates-to-Products TechnologyWhat you will doLead the Laboratory Solutions team in Leuna, with line-management responsibility for lab technicians and apprenticesEnsure safe and reliable laboratory operations in compliance with HSE, quality, and documentation requirementsOrganize team tasks, clarify responsibilities and ensure efficient workflowsManage all activities needed to keep laboratories operational, including maintenanceOrganize and plan the allocation of laboratory technicians to projectsOwn performance discussions and development follow-up for the team, and support the development of technicians and apprentices through structured training and regular feedbackWork closely with researchers, operations, and technology teams to enable high-quality research resultsWho you areYou have a Master’s degree (e.g. in chemistry, chemical engineering, biotechnology, process technology) and at least 5 years of leadership experience, or a strong hands-on laboratory leadership background with at least 10 years of leadership experienceYou have experience leading an R&D laboratory and are familiar with working with lab technicians in a laboratory environmentYou understand safe and compliant laboratory work, including HSE, quality, and documentation requirementsYou are comfortable coordinating daily laboratory operations and handling multiple operational topics in parallelYou are a structured and dependable leader with a supportive and approachable styleYou work well with different stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teamsYou communicate fluently in German and EnglishThis is what we offer to youA meaningful job: We have an inspiring purpose: "We renew the everyday for a future beyond fossils”.
