Network Architect
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Network Architect to provide on-demand subject matter expertise in network architecture and design. Operating within a complex, enterprise-scale environment, you will play a key role in assessing existing network infrastructures, identifying areas for improvement, and designing robust, scalable solutions aligned with business and technical objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth assessments of existing network environments, identifying gaps, risks, and opportunities for optimisation
- Design and document network architecture solutions that meet performance, security, and scalability requirements
- Provide expert technical guidance to internal teams and stakeholders on architecture decisions and best practices
- Support the resolution of complex network issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations
- Contribute to network transformation initiatives, including migrations, upgrades, and technology refreshes
- Advise on Cisco-based infrastructure design and integration within broader enterprise environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between network architecture and organisational goals
Profile
- Proven experience as a Network Architect in large-scale, enterprise or managed services environments
- Deep expertise in network architecture principles, design methodologies, and infrastructure assessment
- Strong knowledge of Cisco technologies and solutions
- Experience supporting complex network transformations and change programmes
- Ability to translate technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Fluent in English ; German is a strong advantage
