(Senior) Software Engineer – Smart Device Ecosystems & AI (m|f|d)

## Job Description - You will translate architectural concepts and complex requirements into robust, scalable and maintainable software. - You will use AI-assisted engineering tools throughout the development lifecycle, from solution design and code generation to refactoring, testing and bug fixing and ensure that every AI-generated result meets our quality and engineering standards. - You will develop software capabilitiesthat allow diverse devices, applications, data models and external systems to interact reliably and support the same functional need across different technical and customer-specific scenarios. - You will act asa key user and sparring partner for AI-enhanced software development and help the team continuously improve its engineering workflows without losing critical oversight. - You will work in a cross-functional agile team of product owners, feature owners, software developers, verification specialists, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality software. ## Qualifications - You have completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Physics or a comparable discipline, or have an equivalent professional qualification. - You demonstrate strong expertise in service‐oriented software development and experience in software for device integration, connectivity, synchronization or service-oriented software development. - You have an AI-first-Mindset, (first) practical experience with AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude or Codex, and a strong drive to use them extensively while retaining full accountability for architectural decisions, code quality, and product outcomes =\> Human-in-the-loop (HITL). - You bring strong software engineering expertise and a passion for developing clean, maintainable, and high-performance software, with solid proficiency in modern C++ or Go. - You have excellent communication skills and fluent English (B2+); German would be a plus. ## What we offer - Flexible work: Enable time management on your terms - Diversity: International teams and cross-border intercultural communication - Room for creativity: It’s the most clever solution that we always strive for - Health & Sport: We offer a wide range of corporate sports activities and health provision - Miltenyi University: A clever mind never stops learning, take advantage of our inhouse Training Academy
