Sr. Director for Construction Management Services
Responsibilities
- Establish program leadership for construction management activities.
- Advise and implement solutions to program‐level technical and contractual challenges to maintain progress of general contractors.
- Develop key performance indicators for program success, including safety, quality control, schedule, and financial performance metrics, and provide clear and accurate reports to the client.
- Coordinate with key program stakeholders.
- Manage all internal project phases for Parsons’ successful execution, including planning, recruitment, mobilization, sustainment, and program execution.
- Identify design and construction risks and develop project‐specific mitigation strategies.
- Assess present and future program needs, trends, and challenges; determine resources required to meet objectives, and direct efforts to acquire and retain necessary resources.
- Mobilize company resources through liaison with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries to create effective project teams.
- Monitor and report the progress of all project activity within the program, including significant milestones and any conditions affecting cost or schedule.
- Oversee program performance to meet financial, schedule, deliverable, and safety targets.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering or CM preferred; Master’s degree preferred).
- Active Top Secret clearance required.
- 20+ years of broad and diversified experience in Owner’s Agent PM/CM services, including large, complex projects/programs.
- Significant Progressive Design‐Build experience, including assisting customers navigate the process as an Owner’s Agent/Representative or relevant experience with CM at Risk or other early contractor involvement.
- Experience on major new construction projects with a constructed value of over $250M (over $500M preferred).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Advanced leadership skills with the ability to perform in a senior management capacity.
- Proven ability to manage a large group of personnel within the field of expertise and provide direction for resolving complex work assignments.
- Expert knowledge of standard practices for construction management.
- Demonstrated ability to assess risk areas and mitigation across different contract types and market spaces, with extensive knowledge of risk identification and mitigation strategies related to large construction programs.
- Preferred: candidates located in the Huntsville, Alabama area or willing to relocate; remote applicants must be available to travel up to 75%.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Professional registration as a PE or RA.
- Certification as PMP and/or CCM.
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
- USACE/NAVFAC Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification.
Security Clearance Requirement
An active Top Secret security clearance is required for this position.
Compensation
Salary Range: $176,900.00 – $332,400.00. The position is eligible for incentive compensation.
