Main tasks associated with this position include:
- Reviewing design studies and manufacturer details (drawings, calculations, operation and maintenance documents).
- Participating in workshop inspections of equipment and validating their compliance before shipment.
- Conducting site visits and preparing reports with recommendations.
- Coordinating with internal and external project stakeholders.
- Writing technical tender documents (specifications, contracts) for construction.
- Drafting technical proposal documents (methodologies) as consultants or engineering firms.
- Evaluating manufacturers’ technical-commercial proposals (quality, cost, deadlines).
- Performing occasional on-site inspections throughout project phases.
- Organizing project meetings and preparing minutes.
- Reviewing project schedules, monitoring progress, and suggesting optimizations.
- Managing technical non-conformities and claims.
Qualifications:
- Engineering degree (Bsc or Msc) in Electrical or Mechanical.
- 5+ years of experience in hydropower equipment.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Expertise in hydropower plant equipment (turbine, generator, auxiliaries).
- Proven experience in construction and rehabilitation projects of hydropower plants.
- Specific knowledge of variable-speed pumped-storage equipment is a plus.
- Proven autonomy, rigor, and proactive approach in managing tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of addressing both specialists and non-specialists.
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
