Freelance Clinical Trial Liaison (M/F/D) – EMEA | Germany

For our client, we are currently looking for an experienced Freelance Clinical Trial Liaison (CTL) to support clinical trial activities across the EMEA region.
The position is home-based in Germany, ideally in the Frankfurt area, with up to 60% travel to clinical study sites across EMEA. The initial assignment is planned for 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key sponsor contact for clinical study sites across the EMEA region.
- Provide training and education to study sites regarding study protocols, disease state, trial conduct and related requirements.
- Respond to operational, scientific and technical questions from study sites and site personnel.
- Support pre-study feasibility assessments.
- Support study start-up activities.
- Support patient enrollment and recruitment activities.
- Support clinical trial execution and compliance activities.
- Work closely with study sites to help drive successful trial enrollment and execution.
- Develop and maintain relationships with investigators, researchers, healthcare professionals and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
- Build and expand networks of investigators and KOLs across the region.
- Conduct remote and in-person visits to clinical study sites throughout EMEA.
- Participate in study team meetings and regular project communications.
- Provide reporting and documentation related to study and site activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across different geographical regions.
- Provide additional clinical operations support as required.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant Clinical Operations experience.
- Solid sponsor-side clinical trial experience.
- Demonstrated experience liaising directly with clinical study sites.
- Experience supporting and driving clinical trial enrollment, execution and compliance.
- Strong experience with respiratory clinical trials.
- Good understanding of pulmonary testing within a clinical trial environment, particularly spirometry and FeNO.
- Previous experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), Clinical Trial Educator, Clinical Trial Liaison, Nurse, Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant and/or Physician is highly preferred.
- Ability to understand study protocols and discuss scientific, medical and technical aspects of clinical trials with study personnel.
- Proven experience developing and managing relationships with investigators, researchers, healthcare professionals and KOLs.
- Experience working with stakeholders across geographical borders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English and German language skills.
- Fluency in an additional EMEA-region language would be an advantage.
- Experience with standard clinical systems such as CTMS, EDC, eTMF and IRT.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Relevant Bachelor's degree, preferably with a clinical, healthcare or scientific focus.
