Our client, a growing renewable energy business, is seeking an experienced Director Legal l to join its small, high-impact legal team. Reporting directly to senior management and offering a small team lead, this role offers broad responsibility across energy law, project development and regulatory matters, with a clear path towards a future Head of Legal position.
The Role
You will:
- Advise on a wide range of energy law matters, particularly relating to renewable energy projects
- Support the development and operation of solar, wind and energy storage projects
- Draft, review and negotiate commercial, project and energy-related contracts
- Advise on regulatory and compliance matters, including interactions with relevant authorities
- Manage disputes and coordinate internal and external legal counsel where required
- Partner closely with business stakeholders across project development, commercial and management teams
About You
- Fully qualified lawyer (Volljurist)
- Several years' experience in energy law gained in-house or within private practice
- Strong understanding of the German energy market and relevant regulatory frameworks
- Experience supporting renewable energy, infrastructure or utility-related projects
- Commercially minded with a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in German and English
