A Snapshot of Your Day You will strengthen the industrial systems of Siemens Energy’s global supply base, particularly in high‐complexity manufacturing environments. This role focuses on supplier production systems and capability building, not site-based Industrial Engineering support inside a single plant, and not supplier quality work centered on inspections, audits, or corrective action loops. Your work combines structured diagnosis of production systems (capacity, flow, stability, constraints) with targeted improvements and the expectation to translate what works into repeatable methods others can apply. You will operate in a corporate Supplier Development environment, working across business areas and functions, influencing suppliers and internal stakeholders across regions and cultures to drive sustainable improvements beyond individual interventions. How You’ll Make an Impact- Diagnose supplier production systems (flow, capacity, constraints, stability) and identify root causes of system-level gaps.
- Drive targeted improvements in throughput, lead time, and robustness through bottleneck resolution and system-level countermeasures.
- Strengthen supplier capability through robust operating routines (system visibility, review cadence, escalation logic, structured problem solving).
- Translate enterprise priorities into sequenced supplier development initiatives with clear baselines and measurable outcomes.
- Convert hands-on improvement experience into standard work, playbooks, and training that enable repeatability across teams.
- Operate across business areas in a matrix environment, influencing stakeholders and enabling sustained adoption through technical credibility.
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong experience improving production systems in high complexity industrial supplier manufacturing environments.
- Deep systems thinking grounded in flow, capacity, constraints, variability, and stability.
- Proven ability to diagnose and improve real production systems using data, analytics, and emerging digital/AI based tools to support decisions and performance discussions, not just track or report outcomes.
- Experience translating hands-on work into repeatable methods (standard work, routines, templates, playbooks) to enable others via coaching and training.
- Ability to influence across functions without direct authority; comfortable operating in ambiguous, cross-functional environments and willing to travel internationally up to 30%. (travel varies by supplier priorities and project phase)
