Interim Finance Director for a prestigious international client

Location: Hamburg and other major cities in Germany

Main responsibilities

• Provide interim financial leadership during a strategic transition period.
• Ensure continuity of finance operations and governance.
• Act as a trusted business partner to senior management.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial performance.
• Support finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.
• Drive operational performance through financial analysis and business partnering.
• Ensure compliance with financial, statutory and corporate requirements.
• Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead and develop the finance organization in an international environment.

Profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in Finance, Controlling or Financial Leadership roles.
• Proven experience as Finance Director, Head of Finance, CFO or equivalent senior finance position.
• Strong background in FP&A, controlling, financial performance management and business partnering.
• Demonstrated experience in finance transformation, ERP implementation and change management.
• Experience operating in international and multicultural environments.
• Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Strategic and operational finance leadership.
• Strong analytical and performance-driven mindset.
• Ability to support business growth and transformation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to operate in dynamic and evolving organizations.
