Responsibilities
Interested in international (agricultural) trade or marketing food and beverage products? Become a culinary diplomat with the Foreign Agricultural Service! The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service Office in Berlin seeks an intern to assist us in promoting U.S. agricultural products in Germany. Examples of duties and projects include writing reports on issues relevant to FAS’ work; generating content for social media; supporting the implementation of trade shows and marketing events; conducting trade policy and market analysis; learning how FAS generates production, supply and demand estimate for agricultural products in the European Union; and much more. A portfolio will be assigned based on the knowledge and skills you will bring to the position. You will administratively support these efforts as well as gaining substantive professional experience.
Qualifications
You are currently actively enrolled (not on leave semester) in a German university in the area of Agriculture, Economics, International Affairs, Marketing, Communications, American Studies or similar subjects. No experience required; however, public sector and customer service experience are considered a plus.
