We are working with a leading global consultancy and project management firm that is continuing to expand its presence across Germany.

The Berlin team is growing, with a strong pipeline of major building and hospitality projects, and they are now looking to bring in an experienced Project Manager who can take ownership and make an immediate impact.

This is not a role where you will simply be managing paperwork from the sidelines. You will work closely with clients, contractors and project teams, bringing strong construction knowledge and practical site experience to some of the most significant building projects in the market.

The immediate focus is on hotel and hospitality projects, within a wider portfolio of major commercial developments.

Your new role

You will join an expanding Project Management team in Berlin, working closely with senior project leadership and acting as a key partner to the client.

The role is particularly suited to a Project Manager who has come through a strong construction background and wants greater client exposure, ownership and responsibility.

You will be expected to bring your own judgement to projects — challenging what is being delivered, advising clients on the right delivery approach and making sure projects stay on track.

You will:

• Act as a key client-side project management resource and support the Project Lead.
• Take ownership of project delivery and become a trusted advisor to the client.
• Advise on project team structures, procurement and delivery models.
• Review and sense-check the delivery of the General Contractor.
• Coordinate consultants, contractors and wider project stakeholders.
• Identify delivery risks and work proactively to resolve issues.
• Provide project leadership and support key client decisions.
• Bring practical construction and site experience into the project environment.

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong experience across construction and project management.
• Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Building Construction, Design, Planning or a related discipline.
• Strong construction background with meaningful on-site experience.
• Currently operating as a Project Manager, or at a level close to Senior Project Manager.
• Experience as a Project Lead or Deputy Project Lead would be highly advantageous.
• Construction Management experience is a major plus.
• Fluent German is essential.
• English is desirable.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• The confidence to operate independently and take ownership from day one.

Hotel and hospitality experience is the priority, but the team will also consider strong candidates from commercial buildings, offices, high-rise, data centres, residential, retail and refurbishment backgrounds.

Consultancy experience is not essential. The key is strong project management capability combined with genuine construction experience.
