(Senior) Director (m/f/d), Business Transformation - Financial Services

About the Role

In our FTI EMEA Financial Services practice, we support clients at times of crisis and transformation. The (Senior) Director (m/f/d) will manage the execution of client projects, working closely with clients and FTI Consulting teams, and will be based in London, Paris, Amsterdam or Frankfurt/Munich.

What You’ll Do

• Support clients facing crisis and transformation situations, including:
• Business transformation and efficiency, including large‐scale transformations, cost efficiency, target operating model, etc.
• Balance sheet and restructuring, including capital/liquidity/funding, portfolio & entity level restructurings.
• Risk and regulation, at the intersection of transformation, financial crime, financial risks, geopolitical risks.
• Data, technology and AI transformation.
• Transaction advisory, including due diligence and value creation at both entity and portfolio level.
• Event‐driven crises impacting the financial services ecosystem (fraud, cyber incidents, hostile takeovers, regulatory intervention).

Your client base will include banks and their supervisors, asset managers/owners, private markets, payments, fintech, sovereign wealth / development funds.

What You Will Need to Succeed

• Master’s degree in business or engineering (or an equivalent university degree in finance).
• Significant experience as an Engagement Manager, Project Leader, or Senior Manager at a major consulting firm serving financial services clients, or experience at a financial services institution.
• Proven experience leading consulting teams on complex engagements for financial services clients, including managing timelines, coaching junior team members, coordinating internal experts, ensuring quality of analysis and deliverables, and developing trusted client relationships.
• Experience in themes such as business transformation, balance sheet management, risk & regulatory, data and AI transformation, transactions advisory, etc.
• Excellent problem‐solving capabilities and analytical skills.
• Ability and willingness to develop new client relationships, support new business opportunities and be a self‐starter.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (presentation, memo, etc.).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and exhibit outstanding listening skills.
• Curiosity to learn and adapt in an ever‐changing environment to meet client needs.

This role requires travel to clients and FTI offices both nationally and internationally.
