Cybersecurity – Senior Manager
West Monroe is excited to hire a Senior Manager to deliver on full lifecycle Cyber projects for various industries, including security controls audits & remediation, risk advisory, compliance assessments, threat hunting, resiliency planning, application & cloud security, data protection, identity management and/or strategy & roadmap development. Managers engage directly with clients to understand their IT organization & systems, identify cybersecurity weaknesses, make recommendations and lead consultants in hardening the environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic cybersecurity consulting services for clients within our portfolio, ranging from policy definition to solution implementation & adoption, including M&A scenarios.
- Manage client relationships to determine project requirements and provide status updates; translate requirements into concrete proposals, including detailed work plans and cost estimates.
- Leverage industry-recognized frameworks to lead risk assessments & controls audits of existing organization compliance, IT processes, personnel, technologies and tools, developing implementation strategies and roadmaps.
- Lead junior consultants on projects, delegate workstreams, and act as career advisor/mentor.
- Promote thought leadership in emerging Cybersecurity technologies and trends through writing blogs & white papers, attending industry events, and contributing to Centers of Excellence.
- Assist with business development at existing clients, looking for opportunities to cross‐sell solutions.
- Actively build a professional & affiliate network in Consulting, Cybersecurity, FinServ, and broader Tech communities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred or equivalent experience required.
- Consulting firm/industry experience preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Cybersecurity in the listed industries, including due diligence for M&A transactions and experience with mergers, carve‐outs and new company stand‐ups.
- Adept at leading cyber risk assessments & controls audits using NIST or similar frameworks.
- Well‐versed in compliance, privacy and regulatory frameworks: SOC1/2, ISO 20001, PCI‐DSS, FedRAMP, GDPR, CCPA, FINRA, GLBA, SOX, etc.
- Broad knowledge of cybersecurity competencies such as security controls, threat hunting, incident response strategy, cloud security, application security, etc.
- Knowledge of leading security solutions/product capabilities for security domains including Security Monitoring, Governance, System Protection, Network Security Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Identity and Access Management and Data Protection.
- 1–3 years technical experience in one or more areas including Cloud Security, Data Protection, Identity and Access Management, AI, Threat Hunting, Dark Web Analysis, and Attack Surface Management.
- Experience delivering end‐to‐end solutions: people management, strategy/roadmap, design, solution development, implementation and change management.
- Competent verbal, presentation/facilitation, and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel for client engagements (15‐20% per year on average).
Compensation and Locations
Chicago: $193,500—$227,700 USD.
New York: $222,500—$261,900 USD.
