Job Responsibilities
- Receives and unloads incoming materials, verifying quantity received and performing incoming inspection functions.
- Operates and services sit-down power forklift trucks.
- Load miscellaneous materials to trucks, such as scrap, empty drums, materials for other plants.
- Supplies production lines with necessary materials when required and moves finished product, raw materials, parts, and packing materials to various plant locations.
- Keeps warehouse and yard storage orderly to use available space to the best advantage. Performs daily production cycle counts as directed by supervision.
Qualifications
- 2+ year(s) of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to operate power forklift truck
- Comfortable working 12+ hour days
- Ability to stand/walk for long period of time
- Ability to work in a hot environment
- Ability to physically bend, twist and kneel in a safe and efficient manner
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math, reading and writing skills
- Availability to work overtime and weekends as needed
- Ability to come in early or stay late depending on production demands
- Must be able to wear required PPE

Our St. Joseph, Missouri Dry Assembly Plant (DAP) opened in 1973 and now employs more than 860 people. The facility manufactures automotive and marine batteries and has been recognized by several global automotive manufacturers for supplier excellence. The plant is a strong community supporter, participating in local initiatives like food drives, holiday events, and family day
