Job Description

Once the investment thesis is validated:

  • Co‐CEO of the platform, responsible for:
  • Full ownership of the end-to-end deal cycle: sourcing, pitching, negotiating, executing, integrating
  • Developing the buy-and-build roadmap, including M&A strategy, value‐creation levers, and operational synergies
  • Acting as the platform's public face towards SME founders, advisors, lenders and stakeholders
  • Building strong relationships with sellers, often in founder‐led Mittelstand environments
  • Partnering closely with your fellow co‐founder to run the company, drive growth and scale operations

You will also participate in:

  • Deep‐dive sector due diligence
  • Selecting and executing the initial acquisition
  • Structuring the German holding company
  • Shaping organisational design, talent strategy, and long‐term expansion plans

The Successful Applicant

A successful Founder and Co‐CEO - German platform should have:

  • Proven leadership experience in the financial services or related industry.
  • We are targeting high‐potential investment professionals who want to break out of traditional PE career structures and take real founder-level ownership.

You will likely bring:

  • Strong experience in private equity, independent mid‐market funds, family offices, or corporate M&A/strategy
  • Proven track record running deals from sourcing to closing
  • Outstanding transaction and financial modelling capabilities
  • Strong pitching, negotiation and relationship‐building skills - essential for engaging German SME founders
  • Comfort with entrepreneurial risk and ambiguity
  • We are looking for individuals who desire to build and lead a business rather than operate within hierarchical corporate structures
  • Personality matters as much as experience
  • Persuasive, founder-facing, credible
  • Entrepreneurial and willing to step out of traditional career paths
  • Ambitious, resilient, hands‐on
  • Motivated by ownership, not incremental promotion
