General Counsel, Packaging and Color – Legal Leader EMEA

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the legal advisor globally for X‐Rite, Pantone, and Esko, shaping legal strategy for complex hardware, software, SaaS, digital workflow, and color‐management product portfolios.
  • Partner closely with OpCo Presidents and global Legal team leadership to influence strategic decisions on product development, technology commercialization, market expansion, and innovation.
  • Accelerate growth in the software business by advising on product strategy, SaaS commercialization, digital workflow solutions, data and privacy readiness, and enabling legally sound expansion of Esko and Pantone/X‐Rite software offerings across global markets.
  • Support M&A activity across X‐Rite, Pantone, Esko, and Europe across OpCos, including due diligence, integration planning, risk assessment, and alignment of contracting and compliance frameworks to Veralto standards.
  • Support global transactions, partnerships, integrations, and initiatives that drive growth and competitive advantage for the three brands.
  • Lead and oversee OpCo commercial contracting, including negotiations with major enterprise customers, technology partners, suppliers, distributors, and strategic alliances.
  • Advise on data privacy, cybersecurity, product regulatory requirements, IP strategy, licensing, channel frameworks, and global go‐to‐market models.
  • Serve as the escalation point for all legal matters across the three OpCos, ensuring consistency, disciplined risk management, and commercial clarity worldwide.
  • Embed a culture of risk‐aware decision‐making and accountability across OpCo leadership teams and Europe stakeholders.
  • Lead, manage, and develop a talented group of OpCo‐focused legal and contracts professionals globally while driving a performance‐based and risk‐aware culture.
  • Shape and influence regional legal strategy to support commercial growth, operational resilience, and regulatory readiness in EMEA markets.
  • Provide thought‐leadership and senior‐level advisory on emerging regulatory trends and their implications for Veralto’s businesses in Europe.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in SaaS and SaaS related M&A at a global technology, consumer products or global industrial company.
  • Significant M&A experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting corporate, commercial, or regulatory legal needs for internationally operating companies.
  • A law degree qualifying the candidate to practice in an EU jurisdiction.
  • Experience with cross‐border commercial contracting or regulatory matters.
  • Ability to translate legal risks into clear, actionable business guidance.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Experience with software, digital, manufacturing, or technology‐driven companies.
  • Background supporting multiple business units or product lines within a matrixed legal function preferred.
  • Familiarity with global regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to technology, data, and manufacturing.
  • Experience building scalable legal processes or systems across regions.
  • Multilingual capabilities supporting EU‐based and global work preferred but not required. English is the primary language for the role.
