M&A Vice President - Investment Banking

Our client, a leading lower mid market boutique is looking for strong additions to their team in Dusseldorf on Vice President level

Responsibilities

• Lead execution across the full deal lifecycle, from pitch and mandate origination through valuation, marketing materials, due diligence coordination, and closing on sell-side and buy-side mid-market transactions.
• Own client relationships day-to-day, acting as the primary point of contact for founders, management teams, and shareholders, and translating complex situations into clear strategic advice.
• Manage and mentor a team of analysts and associates, reviewing financial models, information memoranda, and process documents to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Drive business development by building a network of intermediaries, corporates, and private equity buyers, and contributing to the firm's deal pipeline across software, industrials, and generalist sectors.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of M&A / corporate finance experience gained at an investment bank, boutique advisory, Big Four corporate finance team, or private equity firm, with a demonstrable track record of closed transactions.
• Native or fluent German alongside professional English, with the credibility and communication skills to lead conversations with Mittelstand owners and C-level executives.
• Strong technical foundation in valuation, financial modelling, and transaction structuring, paired with sound commercial judgment on deal dynamics.
• Relevant degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset suited to a lean boutique environment where VPs carry real execution and origination responsibility.
