Job DescriptionThe Supply & Operations Planning Manager is a central integrator between the production site and the regional and local Sales organizations. As part of the regional team in Mannheim, you take full responsibility for demand planning, supply balancing, and commercial scenario development for a defined product group and/or a specific production site in Europe.We are looking for a committed and experienced:Supply & Operations Planning Manager (m/w/d)Your Key Responsibilities in detail:Lead S&OP Planning for a Defined Product Portfolio or Production SiteOwn the end-to-end S&OP planning cycle for your assigned products/sites, ensuring a robust, transparent and efficient planning process while balancing the interdependencies of continuous fertilizer production, customer service, production stability, logistics constraints, working capital and financial performanceIntegrate commercial priorities into the planning process by evaluating business opportunities, optimizing contribution margins, prioritizing markets and ensuring the optimal deployment of constrained production capacitiesFacilitate commercial decision-making in close collaboration with the Commercial Lead (responsible for the production site or the European commercial organization)Commercial & Operational PlanningValidate demand forecasts, evaluate commercial opportunities, identify supply gaps or surpluses and align production capabilities with Sales Managers and the Commercial LeadAllocation & prioritization: Define & adjust product allocations and market priorities (planned product volume/ price-positions) in close collaboration with Sales and Supply Chain Execution to establish delivery commitments and operational prioritiesSupport working capital optimization by incorporating Order-to-Cash (OTC) cycle-time considerations into planning decisions using sales input and historical performance dataInventory, Production & Shipment MonitoringTracking regional inventory targets to balance service levels, production stability and capital efficiencyMonitor the Production–Shipment Plan (actual vs. planned performance), identify deviations early and initiate necessary corrective actions, such as accelerated delivery or reallocation of volumesYour Qualification:Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering or comparable field2 to 5 years professional work experience in Supply Chain Planning would be an advantageStrong analytical and commercial thinking skills; ability to balance trade-offs and drive decisionsStructured, proactive and hands-on approach in dynamic environmentsVery good communication and stakeholder management skillsHigh IT affinity; strong Excel skills; experience with S&OP planning tools is a plusFluent English (written and spoken); additional languages are beneficialEnjoy working in a collaborative, supportive team cultureKontaktLike to work independently and on your own responsibility?
