The Opportunity
As CFO, you will lead the financial strategy of a rapidly scaling technology business, ensuring the organisation is equipped to deliver ambitious growth plans across multiple markets.
You will take ownership of investor relations, capital raising activities, strategic transactions and the financial infrastructure required to support a globally expanding organisation.
This is a highly visible role requiring the gravitas to engage confidently with Boards, institutional investors, private equity firms, venture capital partners and senior leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Financial Leadership
- Define and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business growth and innovation objectives.
- Serve as a key adviser to the CEO, Board and Executive Team on strategic decisions.
- Develop a scalable financial operating model capable of supporting rapid global expansion.
- Drive financial performance, operational excellence and long-term value creation.
Capital Raising & Investor Relations
- Lead significant fundraising initiatives across venture capital, growth equity, institutional investment and private equity channels.
- Manage investor engagement, reporting and stakeholder communications.
- Coordinate and lead financial due diligence processes for investment rounds.
- Build confidence with existing and prospective investors through credible and transparent financial leadership.
Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Transactions
- Lead and execute M&A opportunities, strategic investments, joint ventures and corporate transactions.
- Evaluate acquisition targets and develop sophisticated valuation models.
- Direct financial due diligence and transaction structuring.
- Partner with legal, commercial and external advisory teams throughout deal lifecycles.
- Play a pivotal role in shaping the company's inorganic growth strategy.
Governance & Performance Management
- Establish robust financial controls, governance frameworks and reporting processes.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning and financial performance monitoring.
- Ensure accurate, timely and insightful reporting for executive leadership, Board members and investors.
- Maintain compliance across multiple jurisdictions and evolving business structures.
Executive & External Stakeholder Management
- Act as the principal financial representative for investors, auditors, banking partners and strategic stakeholders.
- Present confidently to Boards and investment committees.
- Build reporting frameworks tailored to varying stakeholder requirements.
- Influence strategic decision-making through financial insight and commercial acumen.
What We're Looking For Essential Experience
You will bring a proven track record operating at CFO or equivalent executive level within high-growth, investment-backed organisations.
Experience should include
- Senior CFO leadership experience within a scaling business.
- Strong exposure to the semiconductor, deep-tech, advanced manufacturing, hardware, infrastructure or technology sectors.
- Significant experience raising capital from VC, PE, institutional or strategic investors.
- A successful history of leading or executing M&A transactions and corporate finance initiatives.
- Board-level reporting and engagement with sophisticated investor groups.
- Experience supporting international growth and organisational scaling.
Highly Desirable
- Experience within semiconductor or photonics industries.
- Exposure to global supply chain or component manufacturing environments.
- Experience overseeing international subsidiaries and cross-border transactions.
- Previous involvement in IPO readiness, trade sale processes or large-scale liquidity events.
