Uniting curious minds
Behind every innovative solution, there are people working together to transform the future. With careers sparked by initiative and lifelong learning, we unite curious minds, and you could be one of them.

Your role

As a Head of Engineering Measurement & Instrumentation Full- or Part-time (m/f/d), you hold end‐to‐end accountability for the engineering strategy, execution, and performance of the Measurement & Instrumentation product portfolio within the Scientific Division. Your mandate is to sustainably grow a competitive, innovative, and environmentally responsible portfolio by aligning technology, people, and programmes with divisional strategy and market demand. You will report directly to the VP Engineering and operate as a key partner to divisional leadership, global product companies, and technology functions.

You will

  • Own and shape the Measurement & Instrumentation engineering strategy and product roadmap, ensuring clear prioritisation, strategic fit, and executable plans aligned with growth, profitability, and sustainability ambitions.
  • Lead complex, global engineering and NPI programmes, orchestrating cross‐functional and cross‐cultural teams to deliver results to specification, timeline, cost, and quality.
  • Drive technology leadership and innovation, identifying, sponsoring, and integrating enabling technologies that strengthen performance, connectivity, sustainability, and competitiveness.
  • Steward the full product lifecycle, actively managing portfolio performance, optimisation opportunities, cost positions, and aftersales impact to maximise market relevance and ROI.
  • Ensure strong governance and executive transparency, providing clear insight into programme status, risks, and investment decisions through steering committees and leadership forums.

To succeed, you will need

We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single requirement. We value diverse experiences and perspectives and are excited to see what you bring to the role.

You bring 10+ years of senior experience in engineering leadership, product development, or global programme management, ideally within a complex, technology‐driven, international environment.

  • Proven track record of leading large‐scale, global engineering initiatives across multiple entities and geographies.
  • Deep expertise in product lifecycle management and translating strategy into deliverable roadmaps and programmes.
  • Demonstrated financial acumen, including multi‐million‐euro budget ownership and investment decision-making.
  • Strong strategic and systems thinking, with the ability to balance innovation, execution discipline, and commercial impact.
  • Exceptional leadership, influence, and stakeholder management skills, operating effectively without formal line authority.
  • Experience navigating change, risk, and transformation, while embedding operational excellence and best practices.

In return, we offer

  • Culture of trust and accountability
  • Lifelong learning and career growth
  • Innovation powered by people
  • Comprehensive compensation and benefits
  • Health and well-being
