Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Application Engineer to support our Aprisa digital physical implementation EDA solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise in digital design flows with customer‐facing responsibilities, serving as a critical bridge between our technology and customer success. You will work at the forefront of semiconductor technology, enabling customers to achieve successful tape‐outs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical guidance and support to customers on the full RTL‐to‐GDS flow, optimizing their design implementations.
- Diagnose and resolve complex synthesis and place‐and‐route challenges, using deep EDA tool and design knowledge.
- Lead technical campaigns, including benchmarks and evaluations, to drive the adoption of EDA tools.
- Solve critical design issues such as timing convergence, power optimization, and physical verification closure.
- Develop and deliver customer training sessions, workshops, and technical presentations.
- Create and optimize reference flows and methodologies for different stages like synthesis, floorplanning, clock tree synthesis (CTS), ECO and sign‐off.
- Collaborate closely with R&D teams to communicate customer requirements and influence product roadmaps.
Requirements
- Hands‐on experience in digital physical implementation.
- Direct experience working with advanced process nodes (16 nm and below, with 7 nm or lower highly valued).
- Proficiency with industry‐standard EDA tools from major vendors (Siemens EDA, Synopsys, Cadence) across the entire design flow.
- Experienced knowledge of RTL synthesis methodologies, including compile strategies, constraints (SDC), and logic optimization.
- Expert‐level understanding of the complete RTL‐to‐GDS physical implementation flow and timing closure techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in Tcl scripting for EDA tool automation and strong Python skills for flow development.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer‐focused mentality and strong presentation abilities.
- Willingness to travel up to 25‐30% for customer engagements and conferences.

The primary locations for this opportunity are France and Germany. The applicable salary ranges for these locations are:
France: EUR 91,100 to EUR 182,200
Germany: EUR 90,100 to EUR 180,200
This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s job‐related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
