Berlin | IT | Full-time | Permanent

Responsibilities

• Development and enhancement of our internal software solutions—from requirements definition through implementation to production operation
• Development of modern web applications and REST APIs for internal applications, laboratory processes, and partner integrations
• Design, development, and maintenance of interfaces to laboratory information systems, hospital information systems, and other partner systems
• Development and optimization of data processing and automation processes (ETL) for laboratory, performance, and process data
• Digitization and continuous optimization of laboratory processes in close collaboration with the line departments
• Conducting tests, code reviews, and documentation to ensure quality, maintainability, and operational reliability
• Close collaboration with business departments and the IT team to translate business requirements into sustainable technical solutions

Profile

• Completed vocational training or a degree in (medical) informatics, information technology, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in software development, ideally in the healthcare sector or a comparable regulated environment
• Very strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, PHP, or TypeScript/JavaScript), as well as practical experience in developing web applications and REST APIs
• Experience with modern web frameworks and the development of modular and maintainable software architectures
• Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL), including data modeling and application integration
• Knowledge of developing and integrating interfaces (e.g., REST, JSON, and XML), as well as basic knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD
• Ideally, experience with laboratory or hospital information systems as well as medical standards such as HL7 or FHIR
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, as well as confident handling of sensitive data and applications that comply with data protection regulations
• An independent, structured, and solution-oriented approach to work
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, as well as a passion for collaborating with other departments
