Senior Vice President – Engineering (Digital Products & Platforms)

About the Role

We are looking for a visionary Senior Vice President – Engineering to lead large-scale digital product and platform engineering initiatives across customer-facing ecosystems. This role will own the technology vision, engineering execution, platform modernization, AI adoption strategy, and operational excellence for high-scale consumer products serving millions of users globally.

The ideal candidate has a strong track record of building and scaling large engineering organizations, driving digital transformation programs, modernizing legacy platforms, and leveraging AI to accelerate business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities Engineering Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute a 3–5 year technology and engineering roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Drive AI-led transformation across product engineering, customer experience, service platforms, and engineering productivity.
  • Partner closely with executive leadership and business stakeholders to influence strategic decisions and organizational growth.
  • Lead large global engineering organizations across multiple geographies and functions.
  • Own end-to-end engineering delivery for digital products, customer engagement platforms, e-commerce systems, CRM platforms, and service ecosystems.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery through engineering best practices, automation, observability, and operational excellence.
  • Lead modernization of legacy systems into modular, API-first, cloud-native architectures.
  • Establish technology standards, governance frameworks, and engineering excellence practices.
  • Drive platform scalability, reliability, security, and performance improvements.
  • Lead enterprise-wide initiatives focused on modernization, automation, and AI adoption.
  • Build long-term technology capabilities to support rapid business growth.

Operations & Reliability

  • Ensure high system availability, resilience, security, and business continuity.
  • Implement proactive monitoring, incident management, and operational governance practices.
  • Oversee cybersecurity, risk management, compliance, and data protection initiatives.
  • Drive operational excellence through automation and continuous improvement.
  • Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams.
  • Create a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and engineering excellence.
  • Attract and retain top engineering talent while developing future leaders.
  • Lead organizational scaling initiatives and succession planning.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 20+ years of software engineering experience with significant leadership responsibilities.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale engineering organizations (500+ engineers preferred).
  • Strong experience managing global teams across multiple locations and cultures.
  • Experience driving large digital transformation and platform modernization programs.
  • Deep understanding of large-scale distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise platforms.
  • Strong expertise in software engineering, system design, architecture, security, and operational excellence.
  • Experience building and scaling high-volume consumer-facing products, e-commerce platforms, digital ecosystems, or large-scale web/mobile applications.
  • Hands‐on technical foundation with prior software development experience.
  • Experience implementing AI/GenAI initiatives across product development, customer experience, or engineering productivity.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive leadership and business teams.
  • Proven track record of hiring, mentoring, and developing high-performing engineering organizations.
  • Experience leading complex, multi‐year strategic technology programs.

Preferred Background

  • Consumer Internet, B2C, D2C, E‐commerce, Telecom, Digital Platforms, FinTech, or large‐scale technology organizations.
  • Experience managing globally distributed engineering teams.
  • Exposure to AI, Agentic AI, Generative AI, automation, and modern engineering productivity platforms.
  • Experience driving cloud transformation and enterprise modernization initiatives.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
