Director of Business Development - Quantum DACH

We are partnering with a pioneering deep-tech organisation operating at the intersection of advanced Quantum computing, networking, and next-generation infrastructure. Their technology is designed to address some of the most complex computational challenges across industry, research, and government.
As a Senior Sales Executive, you will play a critical role in building and scaling a new market category across the DACH region. You will engage with leading enterprises, research institutions, and public sector organisations to introduce and position transformative computing capabilities that go beyond traditional architectures.
This is a high-impact, strategic role focused on long-term market creation, complex deal execution, and establishing trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders.
Role
- Build and execute a go-to-market strategy across the DACH region
- Identify, develop, and close high-value opportunities across enterprise and public sector
- Create demand for next-generation computing and infrastructure solutions
- Engage and manage senior stakeholders (CTOs, infrastructure leaders, research heads)
- Own the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through to contract execution
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder deals with long sales cycles
- Develop tailored proposals, including RFPs and government tenders
- Translate advanced technical capabilities into clear commercial value
- Collaborate with technical teams to shape customer-specific solutions
- Position the organisation as a strategic partner in emerging technology adoption
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales or business development in high-tech environments
- Existing knowledge of Quantum Computing
- Proven track record of closing large, complex deals (€5M–€10M+)
- Experience selling infrastructure, advanced software, or emerging technologies
- Demonstrated ability to build new markets and generate pipeline from scratch
- Strong experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
- Track record of selling into enterprise and/or public sector organisations
- Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation, and relationship management skills
- Ability to engage credibly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Exposure to high-performance computing, AI infrastructure, or advanced networking (preferred)
- Familiarity with emerging computing paradigms such as quantum or similar fields (preferred)
- Experience working with government, defence, or research organisations (preferred)
- Fluent German and strong understanding of the DACH market
