Head of Commissioning (f/m/d)

Location: Berlin

This role is responsible for all commissioning activities in the EU&AF region and OEM-related commissioning for New Unit Central globally. The focus is on Zero Harm Policy, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and team spirit in a dynamic growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the commissioning team, ensuring technical excellence in all commissioning activities.
  • Promote a Zero Harm culture and operational excellence while enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and support field service teams across partner regions.
  • Oversee strategic planning, budget management, and project execution for commissioning activities.
  • Foster a culture of open communication, lessons learned, and best practices to enhance operational processes.
  • Continue to develop the team as a Center of Competence driving technology and liaising with engineering/R&D.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Master’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Longstanding experience in field service activities and/or power plant operation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and effective communication skills.
  • Strong team‐building abilities with a proven track record in leading and motivating international teams.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical competence with a solution‐oriented mindset.
  • Fluent in English and German; additional languages are a plus, with a willingness for global travel.
