Head of Design System

Doctolib, a healthcare technology company, is hiring a Head of Design System to own Oxygen, its design system, and ensure every product surface is built on a consistent, high-quality, on-brand foundation across an AI-first development environment. Leading a team of design system designers and engineers, you'll set the multi-year vision, governance and adoption strategy across 50+ designers and engineers and multiple markets. A permanent, full-time hybrid role.

What you'll do

• Set the multi-year vision and roadmap for Oxygen, connecting engineering, design and brand, and own the investment strategy for teams, tools and governance
• Establish cross-functional governance across Design, Product, Engineering and Brand, defining contribution models and change-management processes
• Own design output quality across the product, ensuring AI-generated interfaces are coherent, consistent and on-brand at every touchpoint
• Define and drive cross-organizational adoption, measuring adoption rate, component coverage and contribution velocity and connecting them to product speed and quality
• Manage and grow a team of design system designers and engineers, setting career paths and a high bar for craft

What they\'re looking for

• 10+ years in product design or design systems, with a track record of scaling a mature, complex system across multiple product teams or lines of business
• Engineering fluency: understand the technical architecture of a design system and AI-first software engineering best practices
• Senior stakeholder management, able to negotiate priorities with Director level and above and drive change at scale
• Data-informed and outcome-oriented, measuring system health (adoption rate, handoff defect rate, contribution velocity) and connecting it to business outcomes
• Experience in a regulated, enterprise or healthcare-adjacent context where accessibility (WCAG), localization (i18n, RTL) and multi-market constraints are critical
• Fluent in English
