Drive investment decisions through best-in-class valuation expertise
As an Investment Valuation Manager / Associate, you play a key role in ensuring sound, data-driven investment decisions across the entire lifecycle of renewable energy assets. You provide valuation expertise for development projects, transactions and operational assets while supporting strategic commercial decisions across the business. Working closely with investment professionals and cross-functional stakeholders, you continuously enhance valuation methodologies, financial models and best practices. This role offers you the opportunity to combine analytical excellence with direct business impact in a dynamic and international renewable energy environment.
Your sunny outlook- Best-in-Class Valuation Expertise: You deliver consistent, high-quality valuations across the entire project lifecycle (development, transactions, and operations), enabling well-informed, data-driven investment decisions.
- Valuation Support Across Functions: You provide valuation support to internal stakeholders in other Encavis teams to enable material commercial decision making such as repowering, offtake/PPA structuring, tender/auction bidding, or refinancing.
- Continuous Improvement of Valuation Standards: You continuously refine Encavis’ valuation methodologies, identify key value drivers, and improve modelling templates and tools (incl. Excel and Jedox) in close collaboration with experts within and outside the organisation.
- Owning Best Practices: You are involved in training new investment team members, establishing best practices within the team, and sharing knowledge.
- Model Reviews & Quality Assurance: You act as the point of contact for the review of financial models set up by other team members, ensuring consistency, robustness, and adherence to internal standards.
- Academic Background & Expertise: You have completed a degree in business administration, finance, or industrial engineering, ideally complemented by an additional qualification such as an MBA or CFA. Outstanding proficiency in Excel is a key requirement for this role, while additional knowledge of Python and Jedox is highly welcome.
- Experience in Renewables: You bring at least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in valuation support for transactions across Europe, ideally in the renewable energy space.
- Financial Modelling Proficiency: You possess exceptional skills in building and analysing best-practice cash flow-based financial models to support investment decisions. You have a highly developed quantitative mindset and bring a structured approach to analysing data and scenario modelling.
- Multilingual Communication Skills: You are fluent in English and ideally have advanced knowledge of an additional language such as German, Italian, Spanish, Danish, or Dutch.
- Flexibility & Travel Readiness: You are willing to travel occasionally and adapt quickly to changing priorities in a dynamic investment environment.
