Principal Consultant – Azure Platform Architect

Location: Dusseldorf, Germany

Responsibilities

• Act as a Cloud expert, contributing to implementation and service operation lifecycle, including SRE and Platform Engineering.
• Drive automation of service operations, improvements, and provide advice; solve problems and contribute to solution development.
• Collaborate closely with customer teams, cloud architects, engineers, and subject‐matter experts.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Must be located within Germany or willing to relocate.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution (or 3 years of progressive experience per year of education).
• 12–15 years of industry experience in infrastructure consulting, design, and migration.
• 6–7 years of real‐time hands‐on experience with Azure IaaS, design, and development.
• Experience in design architecture, build, and implementation in Azure Cloud.
• Strong experience automating cloud infrastructure deployment using Terraform (IaC).
• 4+ years writing Terraform scripts for automation, modularization, repo structure, and Azure DevOps integration for landing zones.
• Experience building Azure landing zones with Terraform (mandatory).
• Understanding of Azure partner ecosystems and experience in SRE programs preferred.
• Team‐leading skills and effective communication with customers and technical discussions.
• Independent troubleshooting of infrastructure and issue resolution.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of cloud industry trends and comparison of Azure with other platforms.
• Experience in a Global Delivery Model with onsite/offshore resources.

Travel may be required as per job requirements.

The role involves sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Communication required via telephone, email, or face‐to‐face.
