About usAs a Technical Lead for Substation Projects, you play a key role in the end-to-end development and execution of high-voltage infrastructure projects. You are responsible for coordinating engineering activities across multiple disciplines and ensuring the effective integration of electrical systems, civil interfaces, and grid connection requirements.You support projects throughout their entire lifecycle—from early concept development and detailed engineering to delivery support—ensuring technical consistency, regulatory compliance, and high-quality execution within the German energy market.Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, grid operators, clients, and external partners, you help deliver complex power infrastructure solutions. At the same time, you contribute to strengthening technical capabilities within the organization and support the evolution of modern substation and grid integration concepts, particularly in the context of the energy transition.TasksTechnical coordination of substation projects:Lead the overall technical delivery of high-voltage substation projects across multiple voltage levelsEnsure alignment between primary systems, secondary systems, and protection conceptsCoordinate interfaces between electrical engineering, civil works, and grid connection requirementsMonitor technical execution with respect to quality, schedule, and cost targetsEngineering integration and system design:Develop and align technical concepts for high-voltage substations, including layout and system architectureEnsure functional integration of protection, control, and automation systemsSupport the development of grid connection and system design conceptsMaintain technical consistency across all project phasesRegulatory and grid compliance:Ensure compliance with German technical standards and applicable engineering regulationsSupport permitting and approval processes with authorities and grid operatorsEnsure alignment with grid code and utility requirementsProject and stakeholder coordination:Act as a technical interface between clients, grid operators, internal engineering teams, and contractorsTranslate technical requirements into clear engineering deliverablesSupport technical discussions and decision-making across project stakeholdersInfrastructure development and innovation:Contribute to the development of modern substation concepts supporting the energy transitionSupport continuous improvement of engineering capabilities within the organizationHelp shape scalable solutions for future energy infrastructure projectsProfileDegree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualificationExperience in planning and delivery of high-voltage or substation infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of primary, secondary, and protection systemsFamiliarity with German and European technical standards in the power sectorExperience working in multidisciplinary engineering environmentsAbility to manage complex technical interfaces across project stakeholdersStrong communication skills in German and EnglishStructured, solution-oriented engineering mindset with a holistic system viewWhy join us?You will love the freedom to bring your own ideas and vision to life, combining client management, project delivery, and team leadership.
