Payroll Specialist - Achern, Germany | Spandex Deutschland GmbH

Spandex Group is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to take full ownership of payroll operations for the DACH region (Switzerland, Austria and Germany). This is a hands-on, detail-driven role where accuracy, compliance, and reliability are essential.

If you have strong payroll expertise and enjoy working closely with Finance and HR, this role offers the opportunity to manage end-to-end payroll with real accountability and impact.

Your Role

• Responsible for the monthly payroll processing for Spandex locations in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland in compliance with legal, tax, and social security regulations, in collaboration with an external service provider
• Preparation and processing of severance payments, bonuses, and other special payments
• Main point of contact for authorities, external service providers, and third-party vendors regarding payroll matters
• Preparation and upload of monthly payroll journals and transfer via Promenta into SAP
• Identification and resolution of discrepancies
• Execution of salary payments and payments to third parties (tax authorities, social insurance institutions, etc.)
• Management of payroll documentation and maintenance of accurate and legally compliant personnel records
• Provision of monthly headcount figures and quarterly payroll reports for the Finance department
• Close collaboration with the Finance and Human Resources departments

About You

• You have completed commercial/business training and possess solid experience in payroll administration within the DACH region
• Your in-depth knowledge of Swiss payroll processes supports you in managing day-to-day responsibilities with confidence
• You have experience working with SAP, Promenta, or similar payroll and finance systems
• You are characterized by a high level of accuracy, discretion, and strong administrative skills
• You communicate confidently in both German and English
• As a team player, you make an important contribution to the Finance team
