We are seeking a highly experienced Industrial and Automation Leader to drive the Fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0) for the world’s leading manufacturing and industrial organizations. In this leadership role, you will help position Google Cloud as the foundational platform for smart factories, resilient supply chains, and intelligent industrial products.
Working with clients across discrete manufacturing, process manufacturing, and industrial automation, you will help organizations harness the power of data, AI, and advanced cloud technologies to significantly improve operational efficiency, quality, and innovation. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of factory operations, operational technology (OT), and digital manufacturing transformation, along with a clear vision for the future of Industry 4.0.

You Will
Drive Industry Strategy You will define and lead the go-to-market strategy for industrial manufacturing and automation, positioning cloud, data, and AI technologies as key enablers of the factory of the future. You will represent the voice of industrial customers internally and translate their needs into strategic initiatives and innovative solutions.
Lead Smart Factory Transformation You will advise senior executives and manufacturing leaders on their Industry 4.0 transformation journey, helping design and implement smart factory capabilities such as digital twins, predictive maintenance, and AI-driven quality control.
Enable Data and AI Innovation You will drive the adoption of advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies to optimize industrial processes, improve operational performance, and enable intelligent automation across production environments.
Integrate IT and OT Ecosystems You will help organizations unify IT and operational technology (OT) environments, enabling real-time data integration from industrial systems such as PLCs, SCADA platforms, and IoT devices to create a unified operational view across global manufacturing operations.
Build Resilient Supply Chains You will support the development of data-driven supply chain solutions that improve forecasting, inventory optimization, and logistics visibility, helping organizations move toward predictive and resilient supply chain models.
Develop Ecosystem Partnerships and Thought Leadership You will collaborate with leading industrial automation vendors, technology partners, and system integrators, while also representing the organization as a thought leader at industry forums and events, shaping the future vision of AI-enabled manufacturing and industrial transformation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial) or a related technical discipline.
- 15+ years of experience in a senior leadership role within a major industrial, manufacturing, or automation organization.
- Deep domain expertise in manufacturing operations and industrial technologies, including MES, SCADA, PLM, and industrial control systems.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale operational improvement or digital transformation initiatives in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant technical or business discipline.
- Experience leveraging public cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud) for industrial use cases such as Industrial IoT, AI/ML for manufacturing, or supply chain analytics.
- Knowledge of industrial data protocols and standards such as OPC-UA and MQTT.
- Established executive-level network with leaders at major industrial companies and automation vendors.
- Exceptional executive presence and communication skills, with the technical credibility to advise senior engineering and operations leaders and serve as a recognized industry evangelist.
