Head of Business Development -- Renewable Energy

Location: Munich, Germany (Hybrid)

Employment: Full-time

We are seeking an experienced Head of Business Development to drive the commercial growth of a fast-growing renewable energy company. You will identify new market opportunities, develop strategic partnerships and lead major commercial negotiations across Germany and wider Europe.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the company's business development strategy across the DACH region.


• Identify new opportunities within renewable energy, battery storage and energy management.


• Build relationships with project developers, EPCs, utilities, investors and commercial customers.


• Establish strategic partnerships and new routes to market.


• Lead complex commercial negotiations through to contract signature.


• Build and manage a strong pipeline of long-term opportunities.


• Conduct market, customer and competitor analysis.


• Work closely with sales, product, engineering and senior leadership teams.


• Represent the company at industry events, conferences and customer meetings.


• Recruit, lead and develop the business development team as the company grows.

Your Background

• Several years of business development or commercial experience within energy, renewables or a related technical industry.


• Strong understanding of the German energy market.


• Experience developing strategic partnerships and winning complex B2B opportunities.


• Established network across developers, EPCs, utilities or commercial energy customers.


• Strong negotiation, stakeholder-management and presentation skills.


• Commercially driven, entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a fast-growing environment.


• Willingness to travel when required.
