Responsibilities

• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of database or data warehouse systems internals including relational database design and distributed databases/MPP architectures.
• Lead strategic data architecture and database design discussions with customers.
• Drive and oversee workload analysis, performance benchmarking and troubleshooting efforts with customers in their environments.
• Clearly communicate deep technical topics to customers.
• Influence the engineering team roadmap towards building a product that is scalable, easy to use and build on, and addresses customer needs.
• Conduct POCs with customers in competitive situations.
• Leverage good coding/scripting skills to automate tasks and improve workload analysis mechanisms.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field or equivalent.
• 10+ years of non‐internship professional software development experience.
• Experience in writing complex, highly‐optimized SQL queries across large datasets.
• Knowledge of overall system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance in a database environment.
• Experience with large‐scale data analytics and data warehousing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in software development, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
• Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in external enterprise customer‐facing role as a technical lead, with strong oral and written communication skills, presenting to both large and small audiences.
