Our site in Gilching, Germany, is an agile hub for our aerospace expertise. As part of the Aerospace Group’s Fluid and Electrical Distribution Division, our Gilching location plays a key role in delivering customer-focused innovations and solutions for commercial and military aerospace manufacturers worldwide. The HR Manager is a core member of the Site Leadership Team and combines strategic HR business partnering with hands-on execution in a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment. The role shapes organization capability, constructive employee relations, leadership effectiveness and an inclusive, high-accountability culture while ensuring robust HR operations and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Plant Manager and Site Leadership Team to define the people strategy for growth, organizational change, capacity expansion and capability building.
  • Convert business plans into workforce plans, organization designs, skill matrices, recruiting priorities, development actions and succession plans.
  • Lead site-specific HR and organizational projects, including restructuring, transfers, integration activities and general communication internally and externally, in line with the relevant Eaton HR teams.
  • Use people data and operational insights to identify risks, trends and opportunities; establish clear actions, owners and follow-up routines.
  • Embed the Eaton Culture Model in leadership routines, hiring, onboarding, goal setting, feedback, recognition, development and change management.
  • Coach leaders to Think Big by staying curious and considering customer and enterprise impact
  • Build and maintain a professional, trust-based relationship with the local works council and other staff representatives.
  • Ensure employment decisions are consistent, documented and compliant with applicable law, Eaton policies, and agreements.
  • Coordinate external partners such as payroll, pensions, benefits and labor-law advisers as required.
  • Ensure compliance with German occupational health and safety requirements applicable to people and workplaces, in partnership with the Plant Manager, MESH/EHS lead, and other relevant parties.
  • Accept and execute formally assigned EHS responsibilities and complete required training.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in HR, business administration, law, psychology or a comparable field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional HR experience in a matrix organization.
  • Fluent German and strong English, written and spoken.

Skills:

  • Experience advising senior leaders through growth, organizational change and complex employee relations.
  • Practical command of German individual and collective labor law, co-determination and works-council collaboration.
  • Progressive HR generalist / HR business partner experience in Germany, preferably in a multinational industrial, manufacturing or regulated environment.
  • Experience with Oracle/HRMS, digital workflow tools, people analytics and responsible use of AI in HR.
