International Senior Payroll Manager - Frankfurt
Location: Frankfurt am Main
Working Model: 3 days on-site per week
Salary Range: €85,000–€110,000

Our client is a leading international financial services organisation with operations across Europe, the Americas, and Asia-Pacific. The company provides a broad range of services to institutional, corporate, and private clients and is recognised for its collaborative culture, high professional standards, and international working environment.
The role offers a varied mix of operational responsibility, stakeholder management, and project work within a collaborative, international HR team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit all statutory payroll reports, declarations, and certificates.
- Contribute to international payroll migration and transformation projects.
- Prepare and process monthly payroll for Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, Spain, Italy, and France in collaboration with external payroll providers.
- Gradually extend payroll support to additional countries as the role evolves.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees, payroll providers, social security institutions, tax authorities, auditors, and other external stakeholders on payroll-related matters.
- Collaborate with regional payroll colleagues and review monthly payroll processing where required.
- Support the full employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding, including all employee data changes and HR administration.
- Administer employee benefits and pension schemes.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Participate in broader HR initiatives, including process improvements and HR advisory topics.
Profile
- Proven hands-on experience in German payroll processing.
- Experience managing external payroll providers and vendor relationships.
- Exposure to multi-country payroll operations is highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of German employment law, payroll taxation, social security regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
- University degree, completed vocational training, or a comparable qualification with a focus on payroll, HR, finance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with HR and payroll data.
- Fluent in German and English
