We are currently looking for a Finance Manager to join the Rheinfelden Leadership Team. In this role, you will lead site‐level financial management, including reporting, planning, and compliance activities. You will collaborate closely with Global Business Services and local stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely reporting in line with Cabot’s global standards and applicable accounting principles, while also supporting strategic initiatives and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting and financial reporting for the Rheinfelden site in close collaboration with the Global Business Services (GBS) team.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while identifying financial and business trends.
- Prepare statutory accounts, tax filings, and VAT submissions in compliance with German regulations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policy and regulatory requirements, maintaining a robust internal controls environment (SoX).
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting cycles, partnering with finance and business stakeholders to align financial plans with strategic objectives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor/business partner for the Rheinfelden Facility General Manager & Leadership Team, delivering data‐driven insights to support decisions on capital investments, product line expansions, and profitability.
- Support EMEA and global functions with process digitalization and innovation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a strong advantage.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in finance (accounting, controlling), preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient knowledge of German GAAP and good knowledge of US GAAP.
- Strong grasp of country statutory & tax accounting and reporting requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to work with ambiguity and build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving abilities, attention to detail and the ability to connect financial insights to broader business strategy.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in German and English – Ability to make sound decisions and take initiative in a fast‐paced environment.
