Finance Manager (m/f/d) - Software Private Equity

Our client is a Private Equity–backed software company with a truly international footprint, employing 500+ people across multiple global offices . The business is well positioned for continued growth and is strengthening its finance leadership at the regional level.

Based in Munich , the Finance Manager will work closely with the Global Accounting Director , contributing to the development and execution of financial strategy while acting as a key business partner to local and regional stakeholders.

This role has responsibility for three countries and 60+ employees , combining hands‐on financial ownership with strong analytical and advisory responsibilities. It is well suited to someone comfortable working with complex data, supporting decision‐making, and delivering high‐quality financial insights in a fast‐paced, international environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial statements
  • Compliance & Tax: Manage local tax compliance, including VAT, corporate income tax, and statutory requirements
  • Business Partnering: Act as a trusted finance partner to department heads and operational leaders
  • Projects & Transformation: Actively support finance initiatives such as ERP enhancements, new entity setups, system implementations, and process improvements

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in finance, controlling, or audit
  • Strong hands‐on experience with German GAAP (HGB) reporting
  • Solid background in audits, budgeting, and full financial reporting cycles
  • Fluent German and proficient English
