With enthusiasm and digital expertise, you will support our staff in all matters related to our hospital information system
IT System Administrator
The Emmendingen District Hospital, with 263 beds, is a facility providing primary and standard care with specialized departments in Internal Medicine, General and Visceral Surgery, Trauma Surgery and Orthopedics, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Anesthesiology/Intensive Care Medicine, Radiology/Nuclear Medicine, a Central Emergency Department, and an affiliated urology department. The hospital is operated by the Emmendingen District. Since July 1, 2026, we have been using iMedOne from Deutsche Telekom Clinical Solutions (DTCS) as our clinical information system. Annual bed capacity: approximately 12,000 inpatients and approximately 20,000 outpatients
You will serve as a knowledgeable point of contact for our physicians, nursing staff, and other clinical employees, supporting them in their daily work with the IT applications used in routine clinical practice.

Your Responsibilities
- Support, administration, and further development, particularly of the hospital information system (HIS) iMedOne
- Analysis, resolution, and documentation of errors within the scope of day-to-day IT operations
- User and access rights administration; receiving, analyzing, and processing service requests related to our clinical applications; implementation, further development, and maintenance of interfaces to ensure high data quality in data exchange with the HIS Active participation in cross-departmental digitization projects related to the hospital information system Point of contact for users, key users, and departments regarding questions about functionalities, malfunctions, further developments, and process optimizations Collaborating with internal departments and coordinating with external partners Creating and maintaining documentation of system configurations, processes, and changes
What You Bring to the Table
- Vocational training or a degree in IT, medicine, nursing, or health management
- Ideally, knowledge of the iMedOne HIS or other hospital information systems (as an application administrator or user)
- A structured, independent, and solution-oriented approach to work
- Strong service and customer focus
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes
- General willingness to participate in on-call duty
