Arbeitsumfang: Vollzeitstelle Kennziffer: 00004989 Beschreibung Das Life Imaging Center (https://miap.eu/miap-unit/life-imaging-center/) ist eine Core Facility an der Universität Freiburg. Der operative Betrieb und die strategische Weiterentwicklung erfolgen im Rahmen von CIBSS - Centre for Integrative Biological Signalling Studies zusammen mit der Fakultät für Biologie. Das LIC stellt modernste bildgebende Verfahren für Nutzerinnen und Nutzer aus den Lebenswissenschaften und angrenzenden Disziplinen bereit und ist ein zentraler Baustein der universitären Forschungsinfrastruktur. Die Stelle ist an der Fakultät für Biologie angesiedelt. Die Stelleninhaberin bzw. der Stelleninhaber übernimmt die operative Leitung und unterstützt die strategische Weiterentwicklung des LIC. Eigene Forschungsaktivitäten sind gewünscht und werden gefördert. Ihre Aufgaben Die Leitungsstelle umfasst die Verantwortung für Betrieb, Organisation und Weiterentwicklung des Life Imaging Center. Zu den Aufgaben gehören insbesondere: Operative Leitung des LIC Sicherstellung des täglichen Betriebs Koordination und Priorisierung der Nutzung Etablierung und Weiterentwicklung von Qualitätsstandards und Servicekonzepten Personalführung und -koordination Fachliche Leitung und Koordination des wissenschaftlich-technischen Personals Mitwirkung an Personalentwicklung und Qualifizierungsmaßnahmen Strategische Weiterentwicklung Konzeptionelle Weiterentwicklung des LIC als zentrale Mikroskopie-Plattform Integration neuer Methoden und Technologien Profilbildung des LIC im universitären, nationalen und internationalen Kontext Unterstützung von Infrastruktur- und Großgeräteanträgen Wissenschaftlich-konzeptionelle Mitwirkung an Infrastruktur-, Großgeräte- und Geräteverbundanträgen (z. B. DFG, SIBW, Landes- oder EU-Programme) Enge Abstimmung mit Fakultät, CIBSS und zentralen universitären Strukturen Wissenschaftliche Beratung und Vernetzung Beratung von Nutzerinnen und Nutzern aus unterschiedlichen Disziplinen Unterstützung und Mitarbeit bei der Erstellung wissenschaftlicher Publikationen Förderung interdisziplinärer Kooperationen und Community-Building Lehre in Mikroskopietechniken im Umfang von 5 SWS Optionale eigene Drittmittelaktivitäten Möglichkeit zur Einwerbung von Drittmitteln für wissenschaftliche, methoden- oder infra­struk­tur­bezogene Projekte in eigener wissenschaftlicher Verantwortung, sofern diese mit den Aufgaben der LIC-Leitung vereinbar sind. Anforderungsprofil Abgeschlossene Promotion in den Lebenswissenschaften, der Informatik, Physik oder verwandten naturwissenschaftlichen Fächern Ausgewiesene wissenschaftliche Expertise im Bereich fortgeschrittene Mikroskopie- und/oder Bild­analyse Erfahrung in der Unterweisung und Schulung von Anwender*innen/Mitarbeitern*innen Erfahrung im Umgang mit komplexer Forschungsinfrastruktur oder Core-Facility-Strukturen, Kosten- und Budgetplanung, Gerätebeschaffung und -wartung, Qualitätssicherung Sehr gute Kenntnisse aktueller methodischer Entwicklungen im Imaging-Bereich Erfahrung in der Mitarbeit an Publikationen und/oder Förderanträgen Ausgeprägte Führungs-, Organisations- und Kommunikationskompetenz sowie eine ausgeprägte Nutzer- und Serviceorientierung Fähigkeit zum strategischen Denken sowie zur interdisziplinären Zusammenarbeit Sehr gute Englisch- und gute Deutschkenntnisse. LIC delivers advanced imaging services for life sciences and related fields as a central unit within the University's research infrastructure. The position is based in the Faculty of Biology, with responsibilities for operational management and strategic development of the LIC. Own research activities are welcome and encouraged. Responsibilities The management role includes responsibility for the operation, organisation and further development of the Life Imaging Centre.
