We maintain and optimize technologies in the Global Amazon Warehouse & Delivery Network. Work with the site Safety department & Site Leadership to implement, record and audit safety and statutory compliance programs to provide a safe working environment for all staff. Own the legal responsibilities as the site engineering lead within this framework. - Implement standards validated by the EU Engineering team and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and equipment availability for our internal customers, with a key focus on preventative maintenance programs. - Maintain a long-term focus by working with Site Management, Finance, the EU Engineering team and internal design teams to plan for future growth, upgrades or new equipment roll outs. We are looking for motivated, customer-focused people who want to join our team as a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Manager. You will be the site lead for all Engineering matters within a building, responsible for leading their team and building a culture of safety; for ensuring all statutory compliance requirements are followed to provide a safe working environment for all occupants of the building and for working with the EU Engineering team to plan for future growth. As the RME Manager, you will be a key member of the wider RME team, responsible for ensuring that our equipment and systems operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keep our equipment performing at its best. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network of fulfilment centres. From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the general maintenance of a site to repairing key distribution equipment, our team handles most aspects of Amazons technical side. We often work during early or late hours to carry out maintenance with minimal disruption, including night shifts. Relevant experience of Engineering team leadership. - Ability to communicate (written & verbal) in English and the local language. - Experience of automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation and conveyor systems. - Demonstrated experience in project management. Chartered Engineer or working towards it. - Comprehensive knowledge of specialized engineering and facilities equipment within the Fulfillment Center, as well as maintenance and safety procedures. - Protecting your privacy and the security of your data is a longstanding top priority for Amazon.
